Big time jump... and the project is finished!

 

The jacket turned out beautifully, heavy and really cuddly.

 

Since we are currently watching the snow flurry of April weather, the jacket will probably not be too warm for the season after all - so it was finished just in time ;)

The Munja mountain, following the motto "better safe than sorry" - and Disentis is far away from home.

First order of the day: gauge. As always, stitch count is pretty good, but I'm missing 1/4 of the height...

The jacket is crocheted in one piece, so this is the lower edge and the pattern is slowly becoming visible.

Inventory: 9 block rows which corresponds to about 9 inches (from 17 to the armpit).

 

I worked on it in the evenings during the week and whenever I had time and desire on the weekends (which was often).

The markers are just for me, so I know which is the right side.

 

I discovered the "Jack Lumber" pattern on ravelry in the fall of 2020. At that time, I chose another sweater first, but I saved the pattern anyway, hoping to make it later. Today is the day - or rather, now I have permission, the yarn, and can start!

On April 6, 2021 - one day after Easter - the jacket was finished. The night before, all threads were teeth-gnashingly darned and then on Tuesday morning the perfect buttons were chosen. In the afternoon (after the trip back to the "lowlands") they were sewn on - and the jacket is thus finished!
