The jacket is finished!
All parts are crocheted, all ends are woven in, and the buttons are sewn on.
A cute, cozy, red jacket for the baby of friends.

The jacket has already grown into a sweet vest. "Only" two sleeves and buttons are missing.

One weekend of crocheting pants and the progress is visible:
From the waistband to the crotch, and then a little bit of the leg.

The pants are also finished!
Baby pants always look so disproportionate, but as long as they fit later, I'm fine with it.

I think the elastic waistband is the highlight of the pants: The elastic can be adjusted in size - and thus can grow a little with the baby. This type of elastic is definitely a brilliant invention - and I will use it often and in all sorts of places.

These are the super cute teddy bear buttons that Mrs. Geisler kindly sent us - when we were at her place to choose the yarn, we completely forgot that a jacket also needs buttons.

Crocheting baby clothing gives me a lot of pleasure: babies are small, so the end product is small, and you can see progress every time you work on it! I always try to choose yarn that is as soft and fluffy as possible. There's nothing nicer than working with soft yarn that feels pleasant in your hand.
Currently, there's a small baby boom in our circle of friends, which makes me happy because I can crochet lots of cute baby things. This baby set is going to consist of a red jacket and blue pants. I chose the yarn "Per Fortuna" from Lana Grossa, which is extremely fluffy and really fun to work with. I started the project on April 6th with a visit to the yarn store Onza per Onza in Disentis.
